As of November 2, 2020 a total of 28 states have been approved to distribute Emergency Allotment SNAP benefits for November 2020.

This means that recipients receiving food stamp benefits in approved states will receive extra food stamp benefits for the month. SNAP EBT cardholders will receive the maximum benefit amount for their household size. The extra food stamp benefits are approved by the USDA as Emergency Allotment benefits.

If you live in a household of 3 people and are currently receiving $425 in SNAP benefits per month, then you will receive an additional $84 in food stamp benefits. That’s because the maximum allotment amount for a household of three is $509 per month.
