The Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) is responsible for administering Kansas Food Stamp benefits, also called the Food Assistance Program.

The Food Assistance Program provides qualifying low-income households with food benefits, access to a healthy diet and education on food preparation and nutrition.

Food stamps are available to low-income households that meet the federal income eligibility rules.

If you are approved for Kansas food assistance, your benefits will be deposited electronically on an EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) card.

The Kansas EBT Card, also known as the Kansas Benefits Card is similar to a standard ATM or debit card.

Food stamp benefits are deposited on your EBT Card on the same day every month. Kansas EBT Card benefits can be accessed by 5 AM the morning after they are posted to your EBT Card account.

Benefits can be used to make approved food purchases at eligible retail locations. Most Kansas grocery stores accept the Kansas Benefits Card as payment.
