Weis Now Accepts SNAP EBT Online
Since March 2020, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has added more grocery stores to the EBT online pilot program after a successful launch in April 2019 with eight retailers.
After USDA approval, Weis started to provide online grocery purchasing, for both delivery and curbside pickup, to SNAP EBT participants in early 2020.
Depending on the store and shopper’s location, the delivery service is handled internally (called Weis 2 Go) or outsourced to either Instacart , Shipt or Doordash.
As of 2023, Weis now accepts EBT online in 7 states for delivery and pickup, as listed below.
States where you can use EBT Online at Weis
There are currently 7 states where Weis allows SNAP EBT Cards to be used online for delivery and pick-up.
Below is the list of States:
- Delaware
- Maryland
- New Jersey
- New York
- Pennsylvania
- Virginia
- Washington
- West Virginia
If you currently receive SNAP benefits, you can now purchase groceries online with your EBT card from Weis – for delivery or pick up.
You can only use your EBT card to buy eligible grocery items. You will have to add a credit or debit card to pay for non-EBT-eligible items.
How to Use SNAP EBT Online at Weis
Follow the steps below to use your EBT card on Weis for delivery or curbside pickup.
Step 1 – Create an Account or Sign In
To start your shopping online visit the Weis website at WeisMarkets.com. Next, log in with an existing account, or sign up for a new account.
To log into your Weis account, simply use your account email and password, as shown below.
To get started with a new account, sign up with your email address or Facebook authentication.
Please note, a Weis Club Card is required for online account sign up. If you do not have a Club Card you can apply for one online.
Step 2 – Select A Store
After logging into your account, click on the Stores icon (arrow “A” below). In addition, you can select the current store (arrow “B”) to see store details and/or to a store closer to your address.
When choosing a store, you can search by the store’s name or address (arrow “A” in screenshot below). In addition, you can refine your search by using the option indicated by arrow “B”.
Caution, using options under arrows “B” and “C” can get tricky as certain filters like “Online Shopping” or “Click and go” restrict your result set to Weis2Go only stores. This will not show Instacart/Shipt/Doordash outsourced delivery stores in the filtered results.
Step 3 – Shop for Grocery Items
After selecting your store, you can now build your Weis online shopping cart.
Weis has a detailed menu on the left-side of their online store to make finding items easy. The menu is divided into 4 sections: Promotions, Departments, Categories and Dietary.
There is also a Filters section at the very top of the menu. Limiting shopping items by the SNAP EBT Eligible filter will help ensure your selections are EBT eligible.
A green “S” icon appearing under an item also indicates that it is SNAP EBT eligible.
To start adding items to your cart, simply click on the red “Add to Cart” button below any item. Once you add the first item to your cart, you will get a prompt for Delivery or Pickup.
You can change the store pickup location or check address availability for delivery with this pop-up. If you are uncertain on which to pick at this time, that is OK! Just pick any. You can change your selection during checkout.
After confirming how you would like to receive your groceries, you may continue shopping. Simply click on the Add to Cart button (arrow “A” in image below) next to each item, and use the +(plus, see arrow “B”) toggle to increase the count of each item.
The – (minus, see arrow “C”) toggle reduces the count.
Step 4 – Proceed to Checkout
Once you are done filling your cart with items, click the shopping cart icon to review the items. You can still make modifications within the cart section before completing the checkout process.
The cart provides you with multiple options. Not only can you edit your chosen items, but you can also finalize your choice between delivery or pickup.
If you need to change your pickup location or select a pickup different time slot, that is not a problem. You can just click the links as indicated below with the “A” arrows, as shown below.
Click on the checkout button (arrow “B” above) to start the checkout process after you have confirmed your cart selections and shopping options.
Step 5 – The Checkout Process
Even though if you have made changes to your cart or shopping items, that is not a problem. The Weis’ website walks you through the process one more time to ensure you didn’t miss anything.
The checkout process has 5 stages.
The first is the Cart Details screen, where you can add additional instructions for each item selected. Additionally, you can allow substitution if a specific item is not available. This screen also allows you to remove items from the cart (see the “A” grouping of arrows below).
You also get the total dollar amount for all the SNAP EBT Eligible items you selected (arrow “B” above). Plus, any associated fees not covered by an EBT card (arrow “C”).
Next, apply any promo codes on this screen. Finally, click on the green Continue Checkout button (arrow “D” above ) to move to the next step.
Next is the Time Slot screen. This step is pretty straight forward. Simply pick a day and time that is available from the table (arrow “A” in image below). After that, click the green Continue Checkout button (arrow “B” in screenshot below) to move to the next screen.
Next, the Contact Info screen allows you to confirm the contact information for person picking up the order (screenshot below, arrow “A”). If you chose delivery, you will be asked to confirm the delivery address and phone number.
If you logged in, or your session timed out, you will be prompted to log into your Weis account.
You can still make changes to your Pickup or Delivery times (arrow “B” above).
Next is the Payment Info screen, where you select your payment options. This is where you can add your EBT card information.
You also want to add a credit or debit card as a secondary form of payment. This is used to pay for non-eligible SNAP items in your cart, taxes, delivery tips and fees.
Select EBT card as the primary payment option and enter an amount you would like to use towards the EBT eligible items. You can view the total dollar amount for EBT eligible items on the right, above the checkout button. All other charges will default to your credit/debit card.
Finally, click the continue checkout button one more time to get to the final screen. The Review Order allows you to review your order one last time. You can complete the order at this time, and that’s it! You will get a secure window prompting you to confirm your PIN for the EBT card during the process.
Step 6 – Receive your Groceries
If you opted for Pickup, pull up to the designated Weis Markets store location at the date and time selected. Look for the designated curbside space and follow instructions on signage. An employee will bring groceries to your car.
If you opted for Delivery, a third party (Instacart, Shipt or Doordash) Personal Shopper will deliver your groceries direct to your door at the estimated delivery time.

What items are NOT eligible with SNAP EBT?
Households cannot use SNAP benefits to buy:
- Beer, wine, liquor, cigarettes, or tobacco
- Vitamins, medicines, and supplements and/or any item that has a Supplement Facts label
- Live animals (except shellfish, fish removed from water, and animals slaughtered prior to pick-up from the store
- Foods that are hot at the point of sale
- Any nonfood items:
- Pet foods
- Cleaning supplies, paper products and other household supplies
- Hygiene items, cosmetics

Who an place a Weis Markets order for pickup or delivery?
Anyone that has a My Weis account can place an order for pickup or delivery. However, delivery locations are subject to the covered delivery zip codes. For a list of participating locations, use the store locator link.
Will all items in the store be available for pickup or delivery?
All items except for alcohol, tobacco products, party platters, specialty cakes, and prescriptions are available for pickup or delivery.
How will I know if my items will be fresh?
Your Weis 2 Go (Weis online) order is always hand-selected in store by one of our trained Personal Shoppers, and freshness is always guaranteed.
Can I give my personal shopper instructions on my order?
Yes. Special instructions can be added to each individual item or in the comments box at the time of checkout.
Can I use my club card for online shopping purchases?
Yes. You will be able to use your Weis Club Card that is associated to your My Weis account for your pickup or delivery order.
You will also receive any eligible Weis Rewards Points for your online shopping purchase.
How much lead time is required for my order?
Online orders can be picked or delivered up between the hours of 9 am and 8 pm at most locations and in as little as 4 hours.
Not that there is a limit to the number of orders that are allowed within each time slot. Once a time slot is full, you will no longer be able to select it during checkout.
How do substitutions work?
Substitutions are only be available if a customer chooses to “allow substitutions” during time of checkout. To ensure your order receives substitutions, simply check the box outlined below when placing your online order. If you do not wish to receive substitutions, you can skip this box.
Does Weis have a minimum order size for online orders?
There is a $30 minimum purchase for all online orders.
Is there a fee to place a online order with Weis?
Yes. All online orders are subject to a service fee.
Is there an additional fee to place a delivery order with Weis?
Yes. All delivery orders are subject to an additional $10.00 service fee.
Will I be charged a delivery fee if I choose to cancel my delivery and pick up?
No. There is no delivery charge for pick up orders.
Are there any bag fees for online orders?
Yes. All online pickup and delivery orders in New Jersey are subject to a $1.50 bag fee.
