How to Login to Washington Connection Online Account
If you are trying to log into the Washington Connection online application to apply for SNAP benefits, follow the steps provided below.
Step 1 – Visit the Washington Connection Site
The first step when logging into your Washington Connection account is to visit the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) SNAP online application. The website can be found at www.washingtonconnection.org.
Once on the site, click the “Login to your Account” link located on the right side of the page. For help, please refer to the screenshot below.
Step 2 – Enter Username and Password
Next, you will be taken to the Washington Connection login page. Enter your User ID and Password into the login portal.

Step 3 – Identity Verification
You will then be taken to a page like the one below where you will have to verify your identity.
There are three options to do this: via Phone, Email, or SMS.
Select your preferred method and click the “Next” button as shown by the arrow below.
Step 4 – Authentification
You will receive a verification code via the method you chose (phone, email, text), which you will have to enter in the space provided to proceed with the login process.
In the example below, the email authentification was selected. Enter the code in the space provided to complete the authentification process.

Once you enter the correct code, you will see the page below that shows that you’ve successfully completed the identity verification process and can now access your Washington Connection account.

If you have forgotten your Washington Connection Account User ID or Password, follow the instructions to recover them.
1. Visit the Washington Connection Online Application
If you have forgotten your User ID, the first step to recover that information is to visit the Washington Connection website at www.washingtonconnection.org.

If you have forgotten your password, click on the “Reset my Password” link as shown above. You will be taken to a page like the one below.
Enter your User ID and email address on file to begin the process to reset your password.
Once you’ve entered your User ID, email address, and the security letters in the image shown, click on “Submit” for further instructions on how to reset your password.
