Step 2: Sign up for a New Account

A screen will pop-up like the one below. Click on the “Sign up for a new account” link as shown below.

Step 3: Enter Personal Information Requested

Next, you will be taken to a page that looks like the one below. On that page, you will be asked to enter the following information to create your account:

  • First and Last Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Last 4 digits of SSN
  • Email Address
  • User ID
  • Cell Phone

Once you have entered the information requested, click “Next” to go to the next step of the process.

Step 4: Set Password

Next, you will be required to set your password. There are requirements your password has to meet in order for it to be accepted.

The password you set has to have the following:

    • Must be 8-32 characters
    • Must include at least one upper case, one lower case, one special character and one number.
    • Allowable Special characters are: question mark (?), pound sign (#), at sign (@), underscore (_), equal sign (=), dollar sign ($), colon (: ), hyphen (-) or period (.)
    • Password is case sensitive

Once you set your password, you will be required to re-type it again to make sure they match.

If you are able to go through this process successfully and the password you entered meets the requirements and both match, then click on the “Next” button for the next step of the process.

Step 5 – Select Secret Questions 

The next step in the process is to select five secret questions that will be used to help you retrieve your User ID or Password in the future, should you forget what they are.

Be sure you select questions and answers you are likely to remember.

After you have selected your questions, click the “Next” link to proceed.

Step 6 – Accept User Agreement  

Next, click on the box under the “User Acceptance Agreement” to accept the User Agreement after you have reviewed it. Then click the “Next” link to proceed.

Step 7 – Verify your Registration

Before you can finish the account creation process, you have to verify your email address.
The Indiana FSSA is going to send you an email to the email address you provided with a code. 
Log into your email account, retrieve the code and type it in the “Verification Code” field, as shown below.

If you do not receive the email, click on the blue, highlighted “click here” link, as shown below have them resend you a new code.

Once you have successfully entered the code, click “Next” to finish the account creation process.

Step 8 – Account Created

Congratulations, you have successfully created your FSSA Benefits Portal Account. See below for how to log in.

Once there, click on the “LOGIN/REGISTER” link at the top of the page.

Next, you will be taken to the login page as shown below.

Enter your User ID and Password in the spaces provided and click the “Log In” link as shown below.

There, you can do the following:

What is the Income Limit for Indiana Food Stamps?

Gross income is your total income, before taxes or any deductions.
