Attention SNAP recipients – food stamp benefits will be increasing by 12.5% beginning on October 1, 2022. This is an effort to mitigate the rising prices of food and grocery items due to inflation.

P-EBT Benefit Increase & Expansion for 2022

As of February 22, 2021, the Biden Administration passed a law to increase Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) benefits by 15% to help fight childhood hunger.

Previously, the P-EBT program was capped at $5.86 per child per school day. In addition, many households have had issues claiming their P-EBT benefits. The 15% increase to the P-EBT Program will tackle the problem of food insecurity among children during the school year.
