Farmers Markets In Georgia that Double Your EBT Money

A great way to stretch your food stamps benefits is to shop at farmers markets. There are many advantages that come with buying produce and other food products at farmers markets. One of the biggest benefits is that some farmers markets will even match your EBT card spending. This means for every $1 food stamps money you spend on your EBT card, you get $2 worth of food. This is called Market Match or Double EBT, or Double Up Food Bucks program in some states. In this post, we will list the Double EBT Farmers Markets in Georgia and explain how the process works.

"Double EBT Farmers Markets"

How the Program Works:

Here’s how it works:

  • When you visit Double EBT Farmers Markets in Georgia, locate the information tent.
  • At the information tent, you will swipe your EBT card and receive twice the dollar amount in tokens to spend at the market.
  • For example, if you swipe your card for $10, you’ll receive $20 in tokens to spend to spend at the farmers market.
  • The farmers markets participating in this program will match your EBT card spending up to $50. You get lots of delicious food at half the cost. That’s a strong reason to buy your food at these markets.

The short video below, by Georgia Fresh for Less explains in detail how the program works:
