Here’s how to sign up for Amazon Prime EBT Discount:

Step 1 – Visit the Prime Discount Site

Visit the Amazon Prime Discount website and click on “Get Started”. Click here to be taken to the website.

Step 2 – Upload EBT Card to Activate Discount

Next, you will be taken to a page where you will have to log in to your Amazon.com account or sign up for an amazon.com account if you don’t already have an account.

You need a current and valid EBT card to sign up. If you are currently receiving Food Stamps, WIC, TANF or General Assitance and have an EBT Card, you qualify.

Once you have logged into your Amazon account, you will be taken to a page like the one below.

Once there, perform the following functions as shown in the image below with arrows:

  1. Select “EBT” under “Choose how you want to qualify”
  2. Enter your EBT Card Number
  3. Select your state under “Issuing State”
  4. Upload a picture of your EBT card
  5. Check the box to confirm that your EBT card is current and valid.
  6. Once you enter the requested information, click the “Continue” button. The continue button will only show once you enter all the requested information.

Step 3 – Start Enjoying Prime Discount on Amazon

Once your EBT Card has been verified, you can start enjoying Amazon Prime benefits right away.

Note: Every 12 months, you’ll have to verify you still have a current and valid EBT card.

You can enjoy your Amazon Prime EBT Discount for four years.

However, you will not be able to share your Prime membership with a second adult like you can with the full-priced membership.

Amazon is part of an online pilot run by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in a few states.

Currently, customers with a valid New York SNAP EBT card can use their SNAP funds on Amazon. Amazon is hoping to expand the program to other states soon.

Do I need a Prime membership to use my SNAP EBT card on Amazon?

No. Shopping with a valid New York-issued SNAP EBT card allows you to access AmazonFresh and Prime Pantry selection without fees.

Order minimums still apply to AmazonFresh and Prime Pantry to unlock free shipping.
